Comments: Excellent history of the Civil War published in two large volumes in 1867. Superb original full leather embossed and gilt bindings, in very good condition, with strong hinges. Contains 47 full page steel engravings of leading political and military men, and several scenes of battles. There is an excellent double page hand colored map of the United States with great western states detail. A rare set to find in this condition, super for the Civil War enthusiast. Condition: Very good overall, fine full leather bindings, contents are very good, occasional foxing or slight aging discolor here and there, but very fresh plates and paper tone.
