Title: Frank Leslie's Historical Register of the United States Centennial Exposition, 1876
Author: Frank Norton
Publisher: Frank Leslie, NYC
Comments: Superb large folio history of the Cennenial Exposition in Philadelphia, illustrated with nearly 800 wood engravings, many full page, a remarkable frontispiece in full chromolithograph color (one of the most impressive 19th century chromos ever done!), three chromo plates of flags, and may other fascinating images. Original cloth binding shows some wear as expected from such a huge and heavy volume. The contents are fine, fresh and without discoloration, paper quality is surprisingly good. A fascinating look at Victorian America, and truly a unique work. SCROLL DOWN FOR MORE IMAGES.
Condition: Good, original cloth gilt binding shows wear and fraying at edges, binding still strong (though some damage to back hinge), all illustrations present in fine condition, rare as such.
