Comments: Very historic broadside poster: this is the very first French WWI poster calling up the military on August 2, 1914, with the date written in ink. Very scarce and important! This is not a "remainder" poster this specimen was actually used in the initial recruitment for the mobilsation. This is a very evocative memento of the actual war itself, much more so than the "pretty" posters that came later. I have kept it quite a few years, but can't be holding things much longer (at my age). Very fresh paper quality and attractive but clearly it was used.
