Comments: Jes Schlaikjer was one of the finest artists producing WWII posters in the US. This is his rarest poster, and totally spectacular. Schlaikjer made a series of 7 smaller posters celebrating the branches of US Army (I have a number of these listed). He also created a spectacular poster for scrap conservation "Your metal is their might" which featured this amazing machine gun image. In the poster I am selling here, he used that same image to promote the Infantry, in a much larger and unusual 33x33 format. Truly a showpiece that is a great rarity as well.
