Comments: Leyendecker designed this image for his famed "America Calls Enlist in the Navy" poster for the WWI war effort. This is a remarkable magazine advertisement published by Washburn Crosby Flour Milling Company (as per small print bottom left), encouraging magazine readers to do their patriotic duty and enlist in the Navy. Only used once in a magazine, I have never had this before. Being a page from a magazine (probably Country Life in America, but I am not sure), there is another advert on the back.
